Director, Americas Programming
The Cultivist is a premier global art membership agency specializing in curating exclusive art and cultural experiences for our members, luxury brands, executives, and top clients. With a focus on innovation, creativity, and storytelling, we create unforgettable events that blend fine art with exceptional hospitality.
We are seeking a highly organized and driven Director, Americas Programming to lead the development and execution of our membership programming throughout the US, specifically New York, California, Texas, and Florida.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Programming: Develop and implement a comprehensive programming strategy for the Americas region, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and member engagement goals.
New York Event Execution: Working with a team of part and full time support staff, organise, execute, and host a diverse range of events in New York with a focus on maximizing member attendance and satisfaction.
Regional Event Management: Oversee production for events taking place in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas and Miami in conjunction with local team members.
Marquee Week Activations: Strategically program around key arts and culture events, ensuring seamless execution and high member satisfaction during major fairs and marquee weeks.
Art Trip Development: Oversee the planning and execution of 2 regional member Art Trips each year, ensuring profitability and luxury experiences for participants while maintaining high standards of service.
Operations and Budgeting: Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines. Maintain accurate records and report regularly on programming activities.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams including communications, design, member services, and agency to ensure effective communication and seamless execution of programming initiatives.
Industry Awareness: Stay informed about trends and opportunities in the Americas art world, including art fairs, museums, galleries, and auction houses, to inform programming decisions.
Team Management: Manage a team of 2 full-time direct reports, as well as programming freelancers.
Qualifications
Highly organized, process-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams on tight deadlines
Proven track record of budget tracking and management
Proficiency in Google Workspace, specifically in Google sheets is a plus
Interest or experience working with luxury brands, creative agencies, or cultural organizations is highly valued
Passionate about motivating a team
Flexibility for travel

More Details
Annual salary of $90,000-100,000 (commensurate with experience)
Benefits include 401k, medical insurance benefits, generous holiday policy, and summer / end of year remote working benefits available after probation
Office schedule is Monday - Thursday: 9am-6pm, Friday: 9am-4pm, some additional hours are required for events
